Lanzini contract news

Exclusive

ClaretandHugh is thrilled to announce that the contract which will make Manu Lanzini a West Ham player for eight million euros has been signed by the Al Jaziera club officials and the player himself.

Karren Brady will be responsible for putting the club's signature on the deal at the end of the season when the Irons will take over the two years left on the contract and add a further four years to it. The deal will happen.

We learned today that the inspirational Argentine has agreed everything on offer and will be a Hammer at season end in a deal which represents a triumph for recruitment director to the board Tony Henry.

Tony spotted and tracked the player, brought him to the attention of the club and is for bringing Manu to the West Ham party.

A major source told ClaretandHugh exclusively: "The deal is done and awaits our signature . It is 1,000 per cent rock solid and it's all in our favour with the club and player agreeing and signing to us buying out the contract and agreeing another four years on top of that..

"We have been asked why we aren't doing the deal now and the answer is simple. There's no need to take any chance on him suffering GOD FORBID a major injury. He's ours and it's a triumph of negotiations. He's our player."

Re: Lanzini contract news
You think it makes sense that the Arab club would have signed a contract to release one of their players and just left it with us to cash in whenever we wanted?

*shakes head*

We have signed him on loan and we have an option to sign him at the end of that loan.

THAT IS IT. That's all it has ever been.

Any quote from someone saying 1,000% is either from someone who has no idea, or someone who is lying and/or trying to sensationalise the prospect of us signing him full time.

Until he signs and the selling club announce it, I will assume we have an option and that is it.

My fav present player and I think it's done

however, the timing of the story that goes with ST general sales.... very G&S!

Re: Lanzini contract news
By the sounds of things a contract is sitting in Karen Brady's office, signed by Lanzini and signed by his Arab club regarding his perminant transfer to West Ham for a set fee and wages on a set date. All that remains is for the contract to be signed by West Ham. I don't get what the big fuss is about. The second we sign the contract his transfer will be confirmed - why sign it now and risk Illunga syndrome? He's had about 10 good games for us - he certainly looks the real deal but the board would rather make their judgement after a full season, rather than after 1/3 of a season. Makes perfect sense to me.

Re: Lanzini contract news
David Gold has previously stated that both a transfer fee and a contract has been agreed for and with Lanzini in the event that we want him.

C&H has probably reported that same story.

Fuck knows what this story is about as it doesn't appear to be anything new?

Re: Lanzini contract news
I doubt that 6 million is a problem, the wages won't be an issue either as they are already included in ffp.

Re: Lanzini contract news
Maybe I'm missing something here, but why can't we get a loan for 6 million to make the deal permanent, it's obviously in the best interest of the club to get the deal sorted as soon as possible.

So, the upshot of all this is Hugh was talking bollocks.

Back to not believing him for WHO then.

Re: Lanzini contract news
That's wages isn't it? Surely we're playing that already? Maybe move on JOB in jan to spare up some funds.

Re: Lanzini contract news
if the money isn't there then it isn't there. we may also be up to our ffp limit, sullivan said recently that there wont be any jan transfers unless other players move on, because of the financial restraints. seeing as the deal was done with an option to sign him next summer you would iamgine that the signing fee will be built into next seasons budget.

Trev

We have a potential star on our hands for 6 million, you make the money available, we are guarenetted 100+ million next year, surely they can get a loan of 6 million, rather than wait and potentially lose out on the player.

I can't see why they haven't signed him yet, the lad seems happy he's at a bargain price and is obviously attracting interest from other clubs.

Just go out and get it done.
